The Malmö University Scholarships are a suite of scholarships offered by Malmö University to support qualified international students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland in covering the cost of their studies. There are two primary Malmö University-administered scholarships: the Malmö University Master’s Scholarship, which is available to prospective students who have applied for and been admitted to an English-taught Master’s programme as their first choice, and is awarded based on academic merit, experience, and motivation; and the Malmö University Excellence Scholarship (MUES), which is available to current fee-paying students who are performing with excellence in their studies and entering their second or third year of a programme. In addition, Malmö University is a participating institution in the US Government Federal Student Aid Finance Program, making it possible for eligible US students to access federal loans and deferrals.
Malmö University (Malmö Universitet), founded in 1998 and located in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city, is a modern public university committed to collaboration, diversity, and urban sustainability. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across five faculties — Health and Society, Culture and Society, Education and Society, Technology and Society, and Odontology — and attracts students from around the world to its English-taught Master’s programmes. Malmö University is a member of the UNIC European University Alliance and holds the HR Excellence in Research Award. With over 24,000 students and a strong focus on applied, society-oriented research, Malmö University is committed to widening access to higher education for students from all backgrounds and countries.
