Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

Be a citizen of any country in the world
Have Non-EU/EEA nationality (for Master’s programs)
Be of any nationality (for Bachelor’s programs and Executive Master’s programs)
Be required to pay the current annual tuition fee at MCI

Have submitted an admission application to respective MCI study programs

Selection Criteria

Applications are evaluated through a rigorous two-stage process. In the pre-selection round, applications are short-listed based on evidence of SDG engagement, motivation and future goals alignment with sustainable development, and potential impact of applicants’ proposed work. Subsequently, short-listed applicants are invited to an interview with a jury consisting of representatives from both the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens and MCI Management Center Innsbruck. The final decision weighs multiple factors including the depth and authenticity of past SDG engagement with tangible proof and documentation, clarity and feasibility of future goals in support of the SDGs and how the chosen MCI degree will help achieve these aims, financial need and how the scholarship will enable the applicant to pursue their studies and SDG-related work, and overall potential to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development during and after studies at MCI.
