The University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a highly competitive merit-based scholarship aimed at outstanding non-EU/EEA students who are applying for a Master’s (MSc) programme at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. The scholarship offers financial support ranging from €3,000 to €22,000 per year, depending on academic excellence and programme requirements, with priority given to applicants who rank among the top 5–10% of their graduating class. For two-year Master’s programmes, the scholarship can be extended into the second year, provided recipients maintain a strong academic performance with an average grade of at least 7.0/10 and successfully complete a minimum of 50% of their credits by the end of the third quartile, ensuring continued progress and commitment to their studies.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be a non-EU/EEA national
- Must have been provisionally or fully admitted to a qualifying UT Master’s programme starting September 2026
- Must hold a UT student number at the time of scholarship application
- Must not have previously graduated from a University of Twente undergraduate or graduate programme
- Must rank in the top 5–10% of graduating class at home university (self-assessment required)
- Must meet English language requirement: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.0 minimum in speaking (or TOEFL iBT 90 with 20 minimum in speaking)
- Must comply with Dutch entry visa conditions (if applicable)
- Must not be eligible for a Dutch study loan
- Must not pay the statutory tuition fee (applies to students with Dutch residence permits)

Selection Criteria
