The Water and Environmental Systems Analysis Lab (WESA) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is offering two fully funded PhD student positions focusing on the development and applications of water digital twins. Both positions are expected to start in Spring 2027 and are fully funded for up to four years. Position #1 will focus on the digital twins of regional water resources systems, addressing interbasin water transfer, ensemble-based hydrologic modelling, forecast-informed reservoir operations, and environmental flow management. Position #2 will focus on the integrated digital twins of multiple urban water infrastructures in coastal regions, including stormwater drainage, rainwater harvesting, and wastewater reclamation systems.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC), located at 6300 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas, is a member of the prestigious Texas A&M University System and one of the fastest-growing universities in Texas. Situated on a unique island campus on the Gulf of Mexico, TAMUCC is particularly renowned for its strengths in marine and environmental sciences, engineering, and coastal resource management. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programmes across a wide range of disciplines and maintains close ties to the surrounding coastal and environmental research ecosystem. The Water and Environmental Systems Analysis (WESA) Lab at TAMUCC conducts cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in water resources engineering, hydrological modelling, environmental systems analysis, and the development of digital twin technologies for water infrastructure and natural resource management.
