The Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Graduate School Scholarships are a suite of academic and research scholarships offered by the Graduate School of Prince of Songkla University to support enrolled Master’s and PhD students in their academic and research endeavours. The scholarships are divided into two main categories: Academic and Research Scholarships (which include six distinct scholarship and grant types) and TEH-AC Scholarships. The PSU Graduate Studies Scholarship supports enrolled graduate students through their full programme. The Research Grant for Thesis supports students conducting thesis research. The PhD Student Exchange Scholarship supports doctoral students undertaking academic exchange. The Thesis Research Funding for Community Problem Solving supports research addressing real community needs.
Prince of Songkla University (PSU), founded in 1967 and headquartered in Hat Yai, Songkhla, is Thailand’s first regional university and one of the country’s most comprehensive and respected public research universities. PSU operates across five campuses — Hat Yai, Phuket, Surat Thani, Trang, and Pattani — covering the south of Thailand, and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programmes across engineering, science, medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, humanities, social sciences, management, and education. The university’s Graduate School, located on the 10th floor of Building 2 of the Learning Resources Center at the Hat Yai campus, oversees postgraduate education across the institution and administers a comprehensive scholarship programme to support the development of the next generation of researchers and academics.

This programme will provide the following to its recipients, depending on the scholarship awarded:
- PSU Graduate Study Scholarships
- Monthly expenses as a lump sum payment.
- ▪ Doctoral Degree Level : 12,000 THB/month
- ▪ Master’s Degree level : 8,500 THB/month
- Tuition fees waiver
- PhD Student Exchange Scholarship: Financial support of up to Amount 180,000 THB
- Research Grant for thesis of 200,000 Baht/grant

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this programme, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be enrolled as a graduate student (Master’s or PhD level) at Prince of Songkla University
- Must be in good academic standing as required by the Graduate School
- For the Research Grant for Thesis and Community Problem Solving Funding: must be conducting thesis research on a relevant topic approved by the Graduate School
- For the PhD Student Exchange Scholarship: must be enrolled in a doctoral programme and have secured a place at a partner exchange institution
- For the HRH Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Fund Grant: must be conducting thesis research on topics related to the Kingdom of Bahrain
- For the Research Presentation Support Grant: must be presenting original research at a recognised national or international academic conference
- Applications must be submitted through the official Graduate School scholarship management system at grad-mis.psu.ac.th/scholarship/ using the required application forms

Selection Criteria
Each scholarship and grant under the PSU Graduate School Scholarships programme has its own selection process and criteria as detailed in the individual scholarship announcement documents. In general, candidates are assessed on the basis of academic performance and standing within their graduate programme, the quality and relevance of the research project or thesis topic, the significance and feasibility of the proposed research activities, and compliance with the application requirements and deadlines specified in the individual scholarship announcements. Progress reports may be required following the award of research grants, in accordance with Graduate School guidelines.
